Currently in development by a team of leading academics from the University of Oxford,
Life-saving Instruction For Emergencies (LIFE) is a mobile gaming app designed to
provide vital emergency care training to remote communities in sub-Saharan Africa
We hope to raise £100k through crowdfunding to develop and test a prototype of LIFE

The Game
LIFE is a scenario-based learning programme, delivered using a "serious game" format. It has the potential to be linked to professional accreditation, with built-in reminders to stay up-to-date and refresh what has been learned.
“They [serious games] present an ideal playground to engage players in simulated complex decision-making processes like those required in medical training”
Graafland et al, British Journal of Surgery (2012)
Crucially, LIFE offers a way to rapidly scale-up access to the most current, locally relevant emergency or health practice guidance - even for isolated health workers.
