Currently in development by a team of leading academics from the University of Oxford,
Life-saving Instruction For Emergencies (LIFE) is a mobile gaming app designed to
provide vital emergency care training to remote communities in sub-Saharan Africa
We hope to raise £100k through crowdfunding to develop and test a prototype of LIFE

Our Plan
We propose to develop a 3D game that can be installed onto an Android Smartphone as a native application (app). In the game, users experience a 3D virtual world on their smartphone, navigate a hospital setting and confront the emergency scenario to simulate real life.
Once the 3D game development is completed, the game will also be modified to enable users to experience the game using a VR headset. These can be powered by the user’s mobile phone or a computer. They can detect the users’ head movements enabling a realistic virtual reality experience potentially comparable to simulation training facilities currently utilised in high income settings.
£100k funding will enable us to develop and test the LIFE platform, including the creation of our first full scenario on paediatric resuscitation.
